Twelve children were referred to the Western Ophthalmic
Hospital for operation for squint, and six children attended the
hospital for investigation of other eye conditions.
SCHOOL ORTHOPTIC CLINIC.
Four sessions a week have been held since the opening of the
Clinic on the 24th May, 1944 and 113 new cases of strabismus and
heterophoria were seen. Of these:—
40 were seen for classification and are awaiting treatment.
34 underwent courses of occlusion.
8 were given homework exercises.
2 were unsuitable for treatment.
9 were evacuated.
20 were discharged with the following results :
8 with good binocular vision.
3 with partial binocular vision.
2 improved.
7 with cosmetic results.
The total attendances at the Clinic were 621.
