In accordance with the rules of the Central Midwives Board, the following notifications were received from Midwives:—

HELP WITH COST OF MIDWIVES' FEE.
During the year 75 cases were helped with the cost of their
Midwife's fee, compared with 73 in 1939.
OBSTETRIC SPECIALIST.
In no case was the Obstetric Specialist at the North Middlesex
County Hospital called in by the Enfield Practitioners, for assistance
in difficult midwifery cases.
HOME HELPS.
During the year Home Helps were supplied in 99 cases.
