NURSING IN THE HOME.
There are two Associations in Enfield which provide nursing
for the sick poor of the District, viz.:—
The Ponders End, Enfield Highway and District Nurse
Fund.
The Enfield District Nursing Association.
No grant has been made by the Local Authority to either
Association. Application, however, has been received for such
grant, and negotiations concerning this matter were still being
conducted at the end of the year.
There are no permanent arrangements in the District for the
domiciliary nursing of cases of infectious disease. Although complicated
cases of measles and whooping cough may be admitted to
Hospital, it is probable that there are occasions when domiciliary
nursing would be of help when they are treated at home.
