were seen. These consisted chiefly of seborrhoea, eczema and
psoriasis.
Eye Diseases.—Two hundred and thirty cases were treated
at the clinics. These were chiefly conjunctivitis, blepharitis and
styes. All cases of defective vision were referred to the Ophthalmic
Clinic for treatment.
Ear Diseases.-— Sixty-five cases of otitis media were found.
Sixty-four were referred for treatment to the Aural Clinic.
Heart Disease.—Seventy-one children were found to be
suffering from organic heart disease; nine of these were referred
for treatment and the rest were kept under observation. In
addition to these, five cases were seen at Routine Inspection only—
making a total of 76 cases seen during the year. Of these cases,
15 were congenital, and five followed acute infectious diseases.
The remaining 56 cases may be classified as follows:—

Chorea.—Eight children were found to be suffering from
chorea; two of these were recovering and were kept under
observation. All the rest were referred for treatment to a doctor
or hospital.
Crippling Defects.—The following defects were seen at the
clinic:—
1 case of old tubercular elbow.
3 cases of hemiplegia.
1 case of congenital multiple exostosis.
5 cases of spinal curvature.
4 cases of hammer toe.
5 cases of club foot.
2 cases of old tubercular hip.
5 cases of infantile paralysis.
5 cases of cleft palate and hare lip.
1 case of cleft palate.
1 case of congenital shortening of leg.
3 cases of wry neck.
1 case of severe knock knee.
1 case of congenital dislocation of hip.
1 case of birth palsy.
1 case of old tuberculous knee.
1 case of old spina bifida.
1 case of traumatic shortening of leg.
1 case of deformity of chest.
