Further sterilisation plants have been fixed on various farms
in the District during the year, and as previously reported another
farmer has taken up the parctice of milking cows by mechanical
apparatus. So far it appears to be, in this case, a success.
Though the period of limewashing has been altered a few

a little difficulty in getting the limewashing done at the proper
period.

PUBLIC HEALTH (MEAT) REGULATIONS, 1924.
The method of the past nine years with regard to the inspection
of meat under the above Regulations has been carried out as
heretofore, and every attention has been paid to see that all food
stuffs are dealt with by the best possible hygienic methods.
The tradesmen themselves are paying attention to this matter
and various machines and methods are being tested by the shopkeepers
to improve the present system.
As in the past two or three years, pigs are conveyed from the
Yorkshire markets to Enfield by road in lorries, thus avoiding
the delay of travel from the railway stations.
