Every possible endeavour is made to ensure the carrying out
of work with as little delay as possible, and in order to secure this
I have interviewed many owners and agents and thus expedited
the work.
In some cases, when there seemed to be no reason for the delay,
a warning from the Council that further proceedings would have
to be taken, has secured the final carrying out of the work required.
1,358 visits were paid in respect of children excluded from
elementary schools during the year, and the total number of
inspections and visits for all purposes made by the Staff of the
Public Health Department was 21,573.
