Diphtheria Anti-toxin is supplied by the Council free of charge,
and, in addition to the Public Offices, supplies and swabs are kept
at various points in the district within easy reach of Medical
Practitioners.
MATERNITY AND CHILD WELFARE.
Medical Officers of Centre*.
J. J. Robb, M.B..D.P.H. Lt. Col., Dr. Margaret Dunbar,
M.D..B.S. The latter is also Medical Officer of the Ante-Natal
Centres.
Health Visitors.
Miss M. E. Newbegin.
Miss Suckling and Miss Ballard having resigned, the following
Health Visitors were appointed on the dates mentioned:—
Mrs Walton June 16th, 1925.
Miss M. Garlick July 1st, 1925.
Maternity and Child Welfare Work.
Baby Week.
This was celebrated on July 7th and 8th. A Garden Party
was to have been held in Eagle House Gardens, Ponders End, by
kind permission of Dr. Barnes, but the morning proving very wet,
the Meeting was transferred to the Enfield Highway Library, from
where a portion of the party went to St. James' Lodge on the
weather clearing. A Garden Party was also held at the Red
Triangle Club, Church Street, on July 8th, which was followed by
a further Tea Party at this Club on July 24th, for the Ponders End
Mothers who were unable to attend on July 7th on account of the
weather.
