and in connection with these 172 inspections were made during
the year.
With regard to the Fish-friers, 10 have been established with
the consent in writing of the Council, and the majority of the oldestablished
businesses have been fitted with up-to-date frying
stoves. #
MILK.
Frequent inspections were made of the Cowsheds, Dairies, and
Milkshops in the .District, and every endeavour made to secure
compliance with the requirements of the Dairies, Cowsheds and
Milkshops Orders and Regulations in force in the District.
Licences as follows were in force on the 31 St December under
the Milk (Special Designations) Order, 1922, Section 3 of the Milk
& Dairies Amendment Act, 1922.
