The Government took over Beech Hill Park Mansion at the
commencement of the War, as barracks for troops in training, and
it has been occupied by soldiers belonging to the Royal Engineers,
and later by the Royal Fusiliers.
Your Sanitary Staff took charge of the sanitary arrangements
of the Camp, much to the satisfaction of the O.C., and I
venture to think that the good health enjoyed by the troops while
they have been there is due in no small measure to the admirable
manner in which the work has been carried out by the Council's
Staff.

My thanks are again offered to the members of the Medical
Profession in the District. I am indebted to them for many acts of
kindness and help during the past year.
Mr. A. J. Munro, Chief Sanitary Inspector, has again given me
of his best, and it affords me great pleasure to thank him once more
for the never varying urbanity and modesty with which he gives me
the benefit of his long experience. The other members of the staff
are to be commended for the efficient manner in which they carry
out their duties.
