In one instance a case of infectious disease occurred at the
house of an outworker. The case was removed to Hospital at
once, and all articles and materials for making them were
thoroughly disinfected before being returned to the employers.
Thirteen addresses of outworkers have been forwarded to
other districts.
EMPLOYMENT OF CHILDREN ACT, 1903.
During the year 306 names were received of children employed
out of school hours, and in 177 cases contraventions of the Byelaws
were found, and remedied.
MILK.
Frequent inspections have been made of the dairies and milkshops
in the district, in order to see that the requirements of the
Dairies, Cowsheds and Milkshops Orders, and the Regulations
in force in the district were complied with.
