ENVIRONMENTAL HEALTH
HOUSING
As a result of the efforts of the Public Health Inspectors 362
houses were repaired. The need was less than in 1961 about 100 less houses
needing to be repaired. The Slum Clearance Programme and Redevelopment
Programme are therefore beginning to make their marks and there is now no
doubt that the housing conditions at Edmonton are improving.
One clearance area of moderate size was represented in 1962. This
was the Millfield Road/Windmill Road Clearance Area an area of 100 houses
in which 399 persons live.
