INFANT MORTALITY
The decrease in infant mortality can be regarded as genuine since the
actual number of children that died is three less than in 1960. The reduction
however, is in deaths after the age of three months. There is no improvement
in the rates below this age and it is possible that the' services to the expectant
mother are not as good as they should be.
