SLAUGHTERHOUSES.
Seventeen visits were paid and the carcases and organs of 42 pigs killed
were inspected during or shortly after slaughter. None was found to be
affected with tuberculosis. 8 carcases of which some part or organ was
condemned showed a percentage of the number inspected affected with disease,
other than tuberculosis, of 19.04.
The following organs were surrendered:—
7 sets of lungs, 1 pluck.

Suplementary licences are granted to retailers who live outside the
Borough but who sell milk in the Borough ; the primary licence is granted by
the Authority in which the premises are situate.
The number of Dairies registered at 31st December, 1955, was 10.
Food and Drug Act, 1938 — Section 14.
During the year 15 premises were registered for the Sale and Storage
of Ice Cream.
