NATIONAL ASSISTANCE ACT, 1948.
Section 47—Removal to suitable premises of persons in need of care and
attention.
No action was necessary during the year under this Section.
Several cases were dealt with by the Public Health Department, and
admission to suitable premises was obtained without recourse of legal action.
MIDDLESEX COUNTY COUNCIL ACT, 1944.
Establishments for Massage or Special Treatment.
One new licence was granted and six existing licences renewed during
the year.
TUBERCULOSIS.
In addition, 19 cases of pulmonary tuberculosis and 3 cases of nonpulmonary
tuberculosis previously notified in other areas, moved into
Edmonton.
The total number of names added to the Register for the first time during
the year, excluding of course, non-notified deaths was: —
