To the Chairman and Members of the Education Committee,
Ladies and Gentlemen,
I beg to submit my annual report on the School Health Service for
the year 1948. The report is compiled in respect of the health and well-being
of the school children of Edmonton in accordance with the wishes of the
Ministry of Education conveyed to me through the medium of the Middlesex
County Council.
This is the last occasion on which I shall have the pleasure of submitting
this report to you as the statistics and other relevant information will in future
years be included in the report of the County School Medical Officer.
The year has been uneventful but this is mostly due to my staff, to
whom I owe a great deal for the efficiency, courtesy, conscientiousness and
the general interest which they display in their routine work.
I would like to express my thanks to the members of the Education
Committee for the help and assistance they have given during the year. I also
take this opportunity of expressing to Head Teachers and their staffs my
special thanks for their kindly assistance and friendly co-operation given at all
times.
I have the honour to remain, Ladies and Gentlemen,
Your obedient Servant,
D. REGAN,
School Medical Officer.
