COUNCIL'S EMPLOYEES.
During 1948 the Medical Officer of Health paid a total of 276 visits to
those employees who had been on the sick list for longer than a fortnight and,
when necessary, at fortnightly intervals. Of these 49 were " not at home "
and 8 had already resumed duty.
Also, during the year, 57 persons were examined prior to appointment to
permanent posts.
