In addition 11 cases of pulmonary tuberculosis and 1 case of non-pulmonary
tuberculosis previously notified in other areas, moved into Edmonton.

The cases dying of Tuberculosis and not previously notified were:—

There was thus 1 non-notified death out of a total of 47 persons registered
as dying of tuberculosis (Registrar's figures). Regarding the non-notification
of the above case, there was no suggestion of wilful neglect or of refusal to
notify.

The Public Health (Prevention of Tuberculosis) Regulations, 1925, relate
to tuberculous employees in the milk trade; whilst section 172 of the Public
Health Act, 1936, gives power to the Local Authority to remove to hospital
certain cases of tuberculosis which are dangerous to other people.
No occasion during the year had occurred in which it has been necessary
to invoke those powers.
