Dentures.
Number supplied—61 of whom 53 paid the full cost, 6 were half cost,
and 2 were free of charge.
Sunlight Clinic.
1,052 children were referred during the year for sunlight treatment and
4,508 treatments were given.
Ophthalmic Clinic.
Ill children under 5 years of age attended this clinic during the year.
78 attendances were made for Refraction, 46 for re-examination and
67 for Examination. Number of spectacles supplied were 64 and repairs
numbered 28.
Speech Clinic.
Arrangements are made with the Education Committee for children under
five years of age to attend the Speech Clinic and 6 children were referred
during the year. No charge is made to the parents.

Convalescent Cases.
One child was sent away under the contract with the Invalid Children's
Aid Association and one child was still away at the beginning of the year who
had been sent during 1944.
Tonsils and Adenoids.
One hundred and forty-five children were admitted to hospital for the
removal of tonsils and adenoids.
INFECTIOUS DISEASES.
Ophthalmia Neonatorum.
Twenty-one cases were notified during the year and of these 18 occurred
in the North Middlesex County Hospital, 3 of which were Edmonton cases.
Of 3 cases which occurred in the district, one was removed to hospital.
Puerperal Pyrexia.
Seventy-three cases were notified during the year and of this number 71
occurred in the North Middlesex County Hospital of which 22 were Edmonton
cases. Two cases occurred in the district and were removed to the Isolation
Hospital,
