To the Chairmen and Members
of the Education Committee.
Ladies and Gentlemen,
I bag to submit my ninth Annual Report, for the year, 1943,
on the work of the School Medical Department. As requested by
the Board of Education the report will be brief, in that it only
deals with salient facts, changes in the Department's services, etc.
Although frequently faced with many difficulties over which
we had no control, the work of the School Medical Department was
carried out effectively Curing the year. The condition of the
children was found to be, in the main, highly satisfactory.
There are, however, still a few weakling and every effort is being
made to remedy their defects insofar as it is possible. Otherwise,
the duties devolving on the School Medical Department were much the
same as in other years.
I would like to express my thanks for the help and assistance
I have received at all times from the Education Committee and also
from the staff of my Department. As usual, the teachers were
responsive to any requests made of them notwithstanding their
already very full programme.
I have the honour to remain, Ladies and Gentlemen,
four obedient Servant,
D. REGAN.
School Madical Officer.
