(j) Tuberculoses.
I am grateful to Dr. E. Evans, Tuberculosis Officer, lor the
courtesy he has extended to this Department at all times and for
his promptitude in attending to all cases referred.
The number of notified cases ana the mortality of children of school age, taken from the records of the Public health Department, during 1940 was as follows

These cases are freely referred to the Minor Ailment Clinic anc
either treated there or referred elsewhere.
6, FOLLOWING-UP.
The same arrangements were in elfect as in 1939°
7. ARRANGEMENTS FOR TREATMENT.
During 1940 the arrangements for treatment ivere as follows:-
Minor Ailment Clinic - held at Pymmes Park House with a doctor
and nurse in attendance each morning.
Ophthalmic Clinic - By appointment only each Monday at Pymmes
Park House.
Rheumatic Clinic - By appointment only each Thursday afternoon
at Pymmes Park House. The Specialist
attended every third Thursday each month.
Aural Clinic - By appointment only every Friday afternoon at
Pymmes Park House. The Specialist attended the
fourth Friday each month.
Orthopaedic Clinic - By appointment only at the Central Hail,
Fore Street, N.9» The Masseuse held four
sessions weekly and the Specialist attended
on the first Friday of each month. (Pk.Clinics
Dental Clinics - These Clinics were held at Haselbury and Pymmes
Speech Clinic - The Speech Therapist held a Clinic at the
Education Offices on Monday and Thursday
mornings.
3. INFECTIOUS DIS^ADES.
Arrangements were carried out as in previous years with regard
to children suffering from infectious diseases.
