PREFACE
Public Health Department,
Town Hall, Edmonton, N.9.
His Worship the Mayor, Aldermen and Councillors
of the Borough of Edmonton.
Mr.Mayor, Ladies and Gentlemen,
I have much pleasure in presenting my fifth Annual Report for the year
1939. But for the outbreak of war in September 1939 it would have been my
pleasure to submit an Annual Report of work done in the Public Health
Department which would have demonstrated that steady progress was taking
place in all sections, and a notable expansion under the Maternity and
Child Welfare Department.
