that a man should be continually employed to visit all schools periodically to
attend to any defects in the drainage. Is that being done?
The water for drinking purposes at Croyland Road School has now been
laid on direct from the main. Many years ago I recommended that the water
supply for drinking purposes at all schools should be laid on direct from the
main, but that advice has not even yet been carried out.
In October, the drainage at St. James' School was inspected and found in
good order.
I might say that the whole of the sewers and surface-water drains of the
public elementary schools are flushed during the holidays.
