The Rent and Mortgage Interest Restrictions Acts.
An application was received from a tenant for a certificate
under these Acts that his house was not in a reasonable state of
repair. On inspection and report a certificate was authorised and
issued. At the request of the owner's solicitor a specification of
the necessary works of repair was supplied and all repairs were
subsequently carried out. An application was then received from
the owner's solicitor for a certificate that the repairs necessary to
put the property into a reasonable state of repair had been executed
and this also was authorised and granted.
