(a) Housing Act 1957, Section 90 - which is used to
abate overcrowding when the "permitted number"
for a house or part of a house in multiple occupation
is exceeded.

(c) Housing Act 1961, Section 15 - the Council has
fixed a standard which requires the provision of
certain facilities, and if these are not available
a notice may be served under this Section. The
facilities required include ventilation, water supply,
sanitary conveniences, washing facilities, preparation
and storage of food.
(d) Housing Act 1961, Section 16 - improvements in the
means of escape from fire are required in accordance
with the code of practice laid down by the Greater
