VACCINATION AND IMMUNISATION
Under Section 26 of the National Health Service Act, 1946, the Council provides vaccination
and immunisation against the following diseases: -
Diphtheria Poliomyelitis
Whooping-cough Smallpox
Tetanus Tuberculosis
The acceptance rates during the year (expressed as a percentage of total births) were:-
Immunisation. against diphtheria, whooping-cough and tetanus 69.3.
Immunisation against poliomyelitis 63. 5
Vaccination against smallpox 66
