Tuberculosis
Given below are figures relating to tuberculosis over the last five years showing
the differing incidence in the immigrant and indigenous population in the three
main parts of the Borough. It must be emphasized that these rates are calculated from
estimated populations, and the incidence in Asians is gauged from the names of
those notified. I consider, however, they are sufficiently accurate to give a broad
indication of the pattern of tuberculosis in the Borough.
