30. REGISTRATION OF PREMISES USED FOR MEDICAL PURPOSES
Nursing Homes
Nursing homes are required to be registered with the local authority under
Section 190 of the Public Health Act, 1936, and at the end of the year, eight nursing
homes were registered with a total of 275 beds.
Visits are regularly made to all nursing homes to ensure that they maintain
satisfactory standards.
