SECTION 7
SCHOOL HEALTH SERVICE
The School Health Service, in close co-operation with the Education Department,
was able to meet all the statutory requirements of this service. Most of our handicapped
pupils can be placed in special schools in reasonable time. The child with
two or more handicapping conditions continues to present problems of education.
As a temporary measure, home tuition is a short-term solution, but the long-term
solution occasions many difficulties. The following statistical tables and brief reports
of the specialised service reflect no great change in the pattern of recent years.
