of beds wholly or partly devoted to the reception of maternity cases.
PREVALENCE OF, AND CONTROL OVER, INFECTIOUS
AND OTHER DISEASES.
The number of cases of infectious disease notified in the Borough
in the past twelve years is shown in the following table. The
total number of cases notified in 1948 shows an increase over the
preceding year, this being due to a higher incidence of Scarlet
Fever and Primary Pneumonia.
