HOSPITALS*
Isolation Hospital.
' The Clayponds Isolation Hospital at South Ealing, which is
under the control of the Ealing and Brentford & Chiswick Hospitals
Committee, has a normal capacity of 142 beds. Only 34 beds
were available for the treatment of cases of infectious disease, owing
to the major part of the hospital being used as an Emergency
Hospital.
Maternity Hospital.
The Perivale Maternity Hospital of 43 beds is also under the
control of the Ealing and Brentford & Chiswick Hospitals Committee.
Throughout the year this hospital was taxed to the uttermost by
the demands for admission, the accommodation being fully booked
months in advance throughout the year.
