Cases of scabies are now treated by the new method, using
benzyl benzoate solution which is more efficacious and less troublesome
than the old method with sulphur ointment
Owing to the ease with which scabies spreads throughout a
family it is deemed to be useless to treat affected school children
only and now all the children in a family under school age are
inspected and treated if necessary. An effort is also made to have
the parents inspected or referred to their own medical practitioner
