The new arrangements for the medical supervision of all
children having milk at the cost of the Education Committee were
given in the report for last year. New cases are medically examined
before a supply of milk is authorised and all children having milk
free are seen by the Medical Officer annually at the time routine
medical inspection is conducted at the school.
At the present time an enquiry is being carried out to determine
the need, if any, for extending the scheme for the feeding of school
children, consideration being given to the physical evidences of
lack of proper food and the economic circumstances of the family.
