1. For infectious disease.—The Chiswick and Ealing Hospitals
Committee provide a motor ambulance for the removal of cases of
infectious disease to the Isolation Hospital at South Ealing.
The extent of the calls made upon the service are shown in the following table :—

The runs made by the ambulances and the mileage covered
were markedly higher than in the previous year.
NURSING IN THE HOME.
1. General diseases.—The Greater Ealing Nursing Association
continues to perform most admirable work in providing nurses
for attending the sick in their homes. During the year under
review a staff of seven full-time and one part-time nurses was
employed, and dealt with 1,059 patients, a total of 22,152 visits
being made. District nursing in the Northolt area is provided by
the Northolt Nursing Association who engage the services of one
nurse.
