Moderate Amblyopia = 1 or 2 lines difference.
Severe Amblyopia = over 2 lines difference.
Note.—The discrepancy between the totals in the last three columns and those in the preceding ones at the ages
of 5, 6 and 7 is due to the fact that in these age groups 4, 3 and 1 respectively had not yet learnt to read and could
not be subjectively tested.
