Legal proceedings were taken in three cases, one for failure to
comply with notices in respect of sanitary defects in a house, one
for failure to remove an accumulation of refuse, and one for allowing
a cellar to be occupied as a dwelling. In the first, as the work was
commenced before the case was heard, costs were allowed, in the
second the case was adjourned to arrange for the removal of the
refuse, and in the third time was allowed for the tenant to be
evicted.
