Children can be submitted for examination at the School
Clinic on each school day at 10 o'clock. Those usually submitted
are children suspected of having verminous heads or bodies, or
having ringworm, scabies or impetigo, or those whose examination
is desirable on account of some defect or suspected defect, such as
defective eyesight, disease of the eye, ear, nose and throat, which
may require treatment. In fact, any defective child not under
medical care may be submitted by the head-teachers for examination.
The examinations carried out during the year may be
summarised as follows:—
