There were medically examined at school, 1,000
entrants, 823 in the age-8 group and 913 in the
age-12 group, making a grand total of 2,736 children.
In addition to the routine inspections there were
1,198 children re-examined in school (624 boys and
574 girls), and 2,164 special cases (1,065 boys and 1,099
girls) dealt with at the Inspection Clinic. The total
number of individual children examined during the
year whether by routine or non routine examinations,
was 4,900.
