all utensils, waste food, infected linen, etc., books and
papers, the use of disinfectants, and a disinfected wet
sheet hung over the outsde of the door of the patient's
room, although such instructions are usually given by
the doctor attending the patient.
Disinfection of bedding, clothing, etc., is carried
out by this department at intervals during the patient's
illness, when requested to do so, and, finally, on the
receipt of an intimation from the medical attendant,
stating that, in his opinion, the patient is free from
infection.
