In 1964 practically all the children seen were considered "at risk" for one
reason or another. These were as follows:-

Three of these children were referred to Grays Inn Road E.N.T.
Hospital, four referred for speech therapy, and one to Dr.
Yudkin's Special Speech Clinic at the E.N.T. Hospital, Grays
Inn Road.

1 Deafness + Mental Retardation
9 Mental Retardation

1 Possible autistic - being

Once more I must thank the Health Visitors for their help and co-operation;
their unfailing efforts to persuade mothers of babies "at risk" to bring them to
the clinic for investigation, frequently bringing the mother and child along
themselves, or baby-sitting whilst mother attends."
