CARE OF MOTHERS AND YOUNG CHILDREN
Ante-natal and Post-natal Care
Ante-natal care and post-natal examinations are carried out at the sessions
held at the various centres listed below. During the year 521 expectant mothers
attended for ante-natal care, and 65 for post-natal examination. Doubtless some
of the mothers who have attended our ante-natal clinics are examined postnatally
by their general practitioners, but even allowing for this there must be
many mothers who do not appreciate the importance of the post-natal examination.
Continued efforts are required to encourage mothers to avail themselves of this
service.
