DOMICILIARY OCCUPATIONAL THERAPY
During the year 180 visits were made to patients most of whom expressed appreciation
for these visits, and relatives have commented on the fact that the patient is not so
irritable and difficult, and does not worry so much about his condition.
Instruction was given in many types of handicraft, such as weaving, leatherwork,
marquetry, rug making.
Some of the articles made were sold by the Tuberculosis Care Association at the
Dagenham Town Show and sales were made at the Chest Clinic and at the Civic Centre.
Many items were also sold throughout the year from the showcase at 15/17 Thompson
Road. These sales enabled most patients to pay for the cost of materials used.
