There were no maternal deaths in this area during 1961.
Ophthalmia Neonatorum
Two cases of ophthalmia neonatorum were notified, both of which made a complete
recovery.
There were 2 cases of other eye conditions occurring in newly-born infants requiring
medical treatment.
