Great care is taken in the selection of the right type of personnel
for this service and courses of instruction are organised twice
yearly by the County Health Department at which a small number
of helps each year are given further instruction in their duties.
Social activities were arranged twice during the year—on one
occasion a party of domestic helps visited the London Palladium,
and the Christmas Party held at the Civic Centre was a great
success.
RECUPERATIVE HOLIDAYS
In conjunction with the General Practitioners recommending
recuperative holidays, the following indicates the number for whom
these were arranged and the holiday homes to which they were
sent.
