Unsound Food
There has been an increase in the number of articles of food brought
to the department. These included wire in a sweet, glass in bread, a snail
in jam, a screw in sausages, a bandage in bread.
There were six successful prosecutions; in two cases, however, the
summonses were dismissed.
In all other instances warning letters were sent to the vendors.
