Scarlet Fever.
The number of cases notified was 233 which is very slightly in
excess of that for the previous year and once more there were no
fatal cases.
The practice of hospitalising only those cases selected on clinical
and/or domestic grounds has been continued with gratifying results.
It appears that the tendency throughout the country to nurse uncomplicated
cases of Scarlet Fever in their own homes has gained
impetus.
