INSPECTION AND SUPERVISION OF FOOD.
Slaughterhouses.
The arrangement made in 1942 for a District Sanitary Inspector
to be loaned to a neighbouring Borough one day per fortnight to carry
out meat inspection at the Regional Slaughterhouse has continued.
This procedure was found necessary because of the shortage of Inspectors
in that Borough and the failure to obtain additional whole-time staff.
This was terminated in October, 1946, on the appointment of an
additional Sanitary Inspector.
