INSPECTION AND SUPERVISION OF FOOD.
Legal Proceedings.
Proceedings were instituted under the provisions of the Milk and
Dairies Order, 1926, against a local milk retail purveyor observed
filling dirty milk bottles in the street, which had apparendy just been
collected from his customers. Defendant fined £3.
Slaughterhouses.
Arrangements were made early in the year for a District Sanitary
Inspector to be loaned to a neighbouring Borough one day per fortnight
to carry out meat inspection at the Regional Slaughterhouse. This
procedure was found necessary because of the shortage of Inspectors
in this Borough and the failure to obtain additional whole-time staff.
