In view of the limited hospital accommodation, and
after consultation with the patient's doctor, it was decided
that a case of Scarlet Fever should be nursed at home.
The parents objected and desired removal to hospital.
When the District Sanitary Inspector visited to ascertain
if effective isolation was being maintained, admittance
to the house was refused. A warrant was obtained
from a Justice of the Peace and presented to the tenant's
wife, but admittance was still refused.
Legal proceedings were instituted and the defendant
fined 20s.
