INSPECTION AND SUPERVISION OF FOOD.
(a) Milk Supply.
There are 78 retailers of milk in the district. The
following figures relate to the retailers of the various
grades of milk in the district:—
Pasteurised 7
Tuberculin Tested 6
Ungraded 65
The number of company distributing centres is ten.
The number of shops retailing milk in sealed
containers is 74.
At the end of the year the number of wholesalers
registered in this district for the sale of milk was lour.
The number of cowkeepers in the district at the end
of 1938 was one; during the year this cowkeeper made
application to the County Council for a licence to use
the designation "Accredited" in relation to milk
produced at the farm.
During the year 1938, the following licences were
issued in respect of graded milks:—
