Enteric Fever.
One child aged 10 was notified as suffering from
Typhoid Fever; this was notified during December
and recovered.
The death from Typhoid Fever in a female in the
age group two to five included in the last table of the
report is that of another child who was assigned to this
area by the Registrar-General. The notification of this
(transferred) death reads "Toxaemia from ? Typhoid
infection of intestines and other organs."
With regard to the case under consideration, careful
investigation did not reveal the source of infection.
